Based on the classic anime series created by Sunrise Studio. There
have been many different version of the show (including spinoffs
about the fanbase for the show itself!) but if the series was adapted
into a film in my opinion it should look to its original version,
original story. --- For those unfamiliar, Gundam follows an war of
control of the galaxy by two factions; the Earth Federation and the
Principality of Zeon. After a devastating conflict between mountain
sized robotic war machines mankind is crippled and the fighting seems
to have become a tentative draw. However Zeon launches a surprise
attack to destroy an experimental weapon, the RX-78 Gundam. In the
panic of the invasion a young boy climbs inside this mecha and single
handedly defeats the Zeon forces. Now he has inadvertently become the
federation's only hope. From:
