I think by now a lot of people predict endings, and usually its easy
to see coming from a mile away.. and some people are pleasantly
surprised when an unpredictable (usually bad) ending occurs, because
its a refreshing change.. even if it makes them feel terrible for
having witnessed a bad ending. But its those movies that people really
remember, and it leaves a huge impression on them. Then, they highly
praise the movie and everyone involved because of the 'out of left
field' ending. I wonder why they aren't more common now
